The Baron York was ranked 6th of 61 tea rooms in the state of Georgia, was featured in Treasures of Georgia publication and recommended  by The Atlanta Journal Constitution as the place to eat.

Dea Irby, owner of The Baron York, is a member of Habersham Chamber of Commerce, Southern Association of Tea Businesses, National and Georgia Restaurant Associations, and Clarkesville Business and Community Association and Certified Level One and Two by the Specialty Tea Institute.

Also, Dea Irby is the wife of Tom Irby, the mother of eight children (same husband, same body) and grandmother of  eight BEAUTIFUL children.  She is a published author, playwright and director.  She has served on the board of the Habersham Community Theater.
